Following the success of the award-winning design for Sirocco restaurant at State Tower Bangkok, dwp was asked to design a stunning new destination restaurant for the Lebua Hotel located on levels 51 and 52. Named Breeze, the new restaurant was a rooftop two- storey indoor/outdoor dining, lounge and bar complex.
The design challenge was to work with the constraints of existing structure, including low ceilings initially designed for residential instead of public space; numerous service shafts from the existing hotel and a permanent triangular pediment.

dwp's design concept was to create the feel and experience of 'breeze' with high impact drama and space. dwp created a spectacular illuminated glass bridge connecting the indoor and outdoor dining areas as the main design feature. The bridge leads towards the pediment's bull's eye aperture to give the fantastic illusion of walking into the open sky, framed in dark mirrored glass with optical fibre star bursts. An illuminated sandstone-hued staircase descending from the bridge creates a dramatic to the outdoor dining area. The design and construction were successfully completed within a very limited time frame of only four months. The restaurant includes internal and external dining spaces and a 15-metre water feature filled with fresh lotus flowers. The bar Ocean 52 features a 30-metre long free form bar and private dining room with a customized wave carpet in bronze and orange tones.
