Signature Towers
dwp was appointed by developer Dubai Properties to interpret the interior design of visionary Pritzer Prize-winning deconstructivist architect Zaha Hadid's Signature Towers in Dubai's waterfront development, Business Bay.

In keeping with Hadid's futuristic aesthetic, Signature Towers' spatially fluid design of three gravity-defying towers is cutting edge, if not controversial and challenging to construct. The towers are to be a hotel, commercial office, and residences respectively, and dwp's full scope included the interior design of the public lobby, hotel guestrooms, and specialty restaurants.

The centre tower has approximately 600 rooms on a moving floor plate that spirals around an internal atrium up approximately 65 floors. The hotel is be of 6-star quality and operated by Jumeirah, famous for the 7-star sail-shaped landmark Burj Al Arab, also in Dubai.

This is an unprecedented opportunity for dwp to articulate its creativity in what is destined to be a world-class icon that will capture the attention of the world. This project also underscores dwp's design capabilities and collaborative approach involving its multiple offices of Singapore, UAE and Thailand - to work alongside an international consultant team to deliver this exciting project that is shaping the future of design.
