Takeda, Bangkok, Thailand

World-class architecture and interior design firm dwp created the concept for the relocated corporate head offices of Takeda Thailand, in Bangkok's CBD. Having researched the new offices of Takeda worldwide, dwp understood the key corporate principle of one of the world leaders in pharmaceutical medicines, equipment and treatment: 'Chemical bonding'. Takeda was very keen on healthy surroundings, to promote better communication, connectivity, creativity and a sense of community and pride.
Strong branding was essential, using the key Takeda red, set against a luminescent white backdrop. A sense of community was achieved by providing a large breakout space. The business centre for visitors and staff, in the heart of the office, is beside the reception hall, with the boardroom just adjacent, which opens outward with large, flexible swivel doors. The reception area is light open and airy, with maximum natural light penetration, which provides a positive ambience from the outset. In the open-plan office space, a dedicated room houses hotdesks for the sales team with an operable wall, which can turn the room to two separate meeting rooms. Angular layout added whimsy and 120° white desks gave an organic and functional feel, complimented by custom graphic walls and signage.
