Where Tea Country, Nature and Wellbeing Come Together.

The Project
Set amongst the rolling tea gardens and verdant mountains of Longwu Tea Town in Hangzhou, Club Med Hangzhou Longwu Resort offers a contemporary retreat shaped by its remarkable natural setting. Located alongside Longmen Creek and surrounded by the landscape of Longjing tea country, the 260-key resort brings Club Med's Urban Oasis concept to life through an experience that feels deeply connected to place.
Drawing inspiration from Longwu's thousand-year tea culture, the interiors are designed around the idea of nature-infused harmony. Rather than simply referencing the surrounding landscape, the design invites it inside. Expansive glazing frames views across the tea-covered hills, while open, fluid spaces dissolve traditional boundaries between indoors and outdoors. Natural light, fresh air and uninterrupted sightlines create an effortless sense of movement throughout the resort.
A restrained palette of warm timber, natural stone, earthy browns and fresh greens takes its cues directly from the tea gardens beyond. Local craftsmanship and cultural motifs are reinterpreted through a contemporary lens, adding a subtle sense of identity without overwhelming the experience. The result is a calm and restorative environment where architecture, interiors and landscape work together, creating an urban escape designed for guests to reconnect with nature, with each other and with themselves.
